I'm Stephanie, a wildlife and nature photographer based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. I was inspired at a young age to pursue a career in Marine Biology, and my interest in the natural underwater world soon blossomed into a passion for observing terrestrial wildlife, in particular birds. Today, with a second degree in Engineering under my belt, I find wildlife photography to be the perfect mix of technical skill, creative expression and a great excuse to spend time outdoors. 

The first photograph I remember capturing was when I was about 7. It was an unwittingly artistic image of a rusty broken-down car in the parking lot of a local mall. The seed of creativity - and seeing something extraordinary in the ordinary - was planted. Fast forward to today and I continue to explore creative expression and learn through my lens. I've been fortunate to photograph wildlife in Atlantic and Western Canada, India, Africa, and Australia. You can see some of my work on my gallery website here.
